Prophecy Update #411 – Home Is Where The Hebrew Is

Each week we present what we call a Prophecy Update.  This is #411 in that series.

We talk a lot about prophecy because one quarter of the Bible is devoted to it.  One in every four verses is either a fulfilled prophecy, or a future one awaiting its fulfillment.

Eighty-percent of the Bible’s nearly 2500 prophecies have already come true.  Those 20% that have not come true must also be fulfilled to the letter.

It is our belief that we can identify trends in the world, and news, that would be expected in light of the unfulfilled prophecies.

It has been said that if you want to know what time it is on God’s calendar – keep an eye on Israel for it is God’s timepiece.

The scriptures relating to Israel’s prophetic role in the end times are numerous.

One of them is that God will draw Jews back to their homeland.

In Ezekiel 37:12 we read, “Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.”

Back in 2010, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared to the people of Europe and the world that the prophecies of Ezekiel 37 have been fulfilled.

His speech was on the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz.  The Holocaust, he said, represented the “dry bones” and “graves” of the Jewish people, and out of that horror the State of Israel was resurrected.

Jeremiah said, “For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it” (30: 3&4).

You’d expect Jews to be regularly returning to Israel, and that is exactly what you find happening.

An article on ynetnews.com was titled, Israel saw 35% increase in aliyah last year, stats reveal.

(Aliyah is the immigration of Jews dispersed around the world to Israel).

Excerpts:

On the eve of the Jewish New Year 5776, Israel’s population numbers at 8,412,000 people, according to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.

Since last year, Israel’s population has increased about 158,000 people – a 1.9% increase, similar to previous years. The Jewish population numbers at about 6.3 million people.
About 32,000 immigrated to Israel… This is a 35% increase from the previous year.  Most of them came from Ukraine (about 26%), France (25%), Russia (about 21%) and the United States (about 9%).

Some of the things we report are merely interesting with regards to Bible prophecy.

Jews who have been scattered all over the world returning to their ancient homeland – that IS Bible prophecy being fulfilled to the letter, as we watch.

The Lord’s coming to resurrect the dead in Christ, and to rapture living believers, is imminent.

Are you ready for the rapture?  If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up.  Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
