Prophecy Update #743 – What Homeless Crisis?

Christians are encouraged to look for to “the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13). We are encouraged to look forward to tomorrow, living with the awareness Jesus could come today.

One of the ways we look forward to tomorrow is to consider the hundreds of unfulfilled prophecies in the Bible. We can expect the world to be moving in the direction predicted for the End Times.

We reserve a few minutes Sunday morning to suggest news, or trends, that seem to be predicted by our futurist reading of the Bible.

We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy. We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build- up to the future seven year Great Tribulation.

Governments are going green in a big way. World leaders have prioritized climate change over just about any other function of government. It is proving disastrous. 

Case in point, a recent news story was titled, South Africa slashed emissions and beat their climate goals and the country is about to cease to exist as a result.

Excerpts:   

South Africa, against all odds, managed to reach their Paris Agreement climate goals.

The nation has already slashed enough emissions to have reduced output between 350 and 420 megatons of carbon dioxide by 2030, meeting their goal of between 398 and 614 megatons. 

How did South Africa do what so few have been able to manage? By initiating a nationwide energy crisis with rolling blackouts due to a multitude of catastrophic technical failures at electrical stations. 

These power failures have brought the once-modern nation to its proverbial knees.

Power rationing is being conducted to keep the national grid from collapsing, leaving people without power for 10 hours or more per day.

Most of the people of South Africa have lost access to refrigeration, education, communication services, medical services, and work. Over two-thirds of businesses have laid off employees or closed because of the power outages. 

They are facing mass starvation, their businesses are failing, and they have little access to healthcare. But their falling emissions are saving the planet.

The green people keep bringing up the Earth’s population. They claim our planet cannot sustain 8b people. While no one wants to say it outright, the solution to the suggested over-population is euthanasia and assisted death:  

• Euthanasia is the act of intentionally ending a life to relieve suffering. It is further described as voluntary, involuntary, active, or passive.
• Intentionally helping another person to kill themselves is known as assisted death, or physician assisted death.

Canada is emerging as the world’s leader in murdering people. They call it, MAiD – Medical Assistance in Dying. Proponents originally said that assisted suicide would only be used in end-of-life circumstances to relieve the pain of the elderly. Then it expanded past the elderly to any adult who is dying painfully. Then it became ANYONE experiencing pain, including mental anguish, and that includes children.

Over 30,000 people have been assisted in dying since MAiD was first legalized in 2016.

 The most recent news is in an article titled, One-third of Canadians are fine with “prescribing” state-sponsored “suicide” for homeless people.

Excerpts:

The poll also revealed that 73% of Canadians are big fans of the country’s current MAiD system, which allows people to commit suicide legally and medically for almost any excuse whatsoever.

For example, the current system recommends veterans commit suicide because they can’t get the government to take care of them by installing wheelchair ramps.

The poll disturbingly found that just over a quarter of Canadians think that poverty is a sufficient reason to apply for MAiD. Even more Canadians believe that homeless people should be automatically qualified for medically assisted suicide.

A full 20% also said you don’t need ANY reason to commit suicide by doctor.

Commenting on the statistics, the author wrote, “All it takes is a little crack in the door. If a third of Canadians think the homeless should qualify now, how long before it’s mandatory?”

This isn’t really about the climate. It is about control. The governments of the world are hurtling toward surrendering their individual sovereignty for the so-called “greater good” of the human race. 

The Bible describes the future government of the Earth to be global. Global government, global economy, with power residing in line group, then one man – the antichrist. 

We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven year Time of Jacob’s Trouble, the Great Tribulation, that is described in the last book of the Bible

We will not be on Earth during that terrible Time of Jacob’s Trouble. The resurrection and rapture of the church are imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.

Jesus will come, in the clouds, and raise the dead believers of the Church Age. He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies.

We will join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.

Elon Musk has been on the leading edge of Artificial Intelligence. He said, “The pace of progress in artificial intelligence is incredibly fast. Unless you have direct exposure to groups like Deepmind, you have no idea how fast – it is growing at a pace close to exponential.”

There is a fascinating prediction at the end of the OT Book of Daniel. The last chapter is about the last days, looking beyond today. An angel told Daniel, “knowledge shall increase.” 

It is a sign that we are accelerating towards the fulfillment of the rest of the Bible’s prophecies when a human knowledge is growing at a pace close to exponential.

Eliezer Yudkowsky said, “Anything that could give rise to smarter-than-human intelligence – in the form of Artificial Intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, or neuroscience-based human intelligence enhancement – wins hands down beyond contest as doing the most to change the world. Nothing else is even in the same league.”

Futurism Magazine said, “The common SyFy trope where AI tech creates its own AI until it reaches human levels of intelligence and eventually surpasses us is quickly becoming a reality. Many believe that it is really only a matter of time before the AI that we create can create AI more intelligent than us.”

Another article was titled, Artificial Intelligence: The Dawn of Humanity’s Greatest Invention.

Excerpts:   

Artificial intelligence has been called the new electricity by Andrew Ng the co-founder of Coursera and the founder of Landing AI and DeeplearningAI. Research by scientists at Oxford University showed that AI will exceed human capabilities at conducting surgeries by 2054, at selling online goods by 2031, and writing school essays by 2026. Companies are rushing to get ahead of the curve to maximize potential benefits promised by this new technology. 18% of all patent applications received by IBM were AI related.

You may have heard that Hollywood writers are on strike. They are concerned about Artificial Intelligence taking over their jobs. “They’re demanding that use of artificial intelligence in the production of literary materials – scripts, treatments, outlines – be restricted, whether that AI is used to write works or to generate story ideas.”

Then there’s this. DailyMailUK posted a story titled, World is on the verge of a contemporary faith started by an AI writing its own sacred texts, historian claims. 

There is a lot we could say about AI. My point today is this: the Bible predicted about 2500 years ago that the last days would be characterized by an exponential growth of knowledge. We have reached the point with AI where it can’t get much more exponential.

One final quote. James Barrat, author of Our Final Invention: Artificial Intelligence and the End of the Human Era, told the Washington Post, “I don’t want to really scare you, but it was alarming how many people I talked to who are highly placed people in AI who have retreats that are sort of ‘bug out’ houses, to which they could flee if it all hits the fan.”

A Utah-based biotech company has implanted brain chips in dozens of patients in an effort to cure depression, blindness and paralysis. The chip, known as NeuroPort Array, is manufactured by Blackrock Neurotech.

Blackrock’s device attaches 96 arrays, small needle-shaped brain chips, that decipher and stimulate electrical signals generated by someone’s thoughts.

Recipients of the NeuroPort Array chip are also able to control prosthetic limbs and wheelchairs, play video games and feel sensations.

The signals produced by the thoughts are decoded by machine learning software into digital commands used to control prosthetics and computer equipment.

The first chip was implanted in a human in 2004. Approximately fifty people have since been implanted with Blackrock’s brain device.

Another source reported the following: 

Today, more than 50,000 people have elected to have a subdermal chip surgically inserted between the thumb and index finger, serve as their new swipe key, or credit card. In Germany, for example, more than 2,000 Germans have opted to receive these implants; one man even used it to store a link to his last will and testament.

Cash transactions are almost a thing of the past in Australia. DailyMail.com/uk posted a story titled, Cashless Australia. 

Excerpts: 

One of Australia’s biggest banks has confirmed that some of its branches will no longer allow customers to withdraw money over the counter.

ANZ bank is stripping back some of its services, with certain branches in Victoria no longer carrying physical cash.

ANZ said that only 8% of its customers rely on banks for their money as more and more Australians switch to internet banking.

Cash transactions are dying in Australia with just 13% of purchases now using banknotes or coins.

Tap-and-go cards, mobile payments and direct online transfers make up the rest of all transactions.

Other countries moving toward a cashless economy are Sweden, Finland, China, South Korea, the UK, the Netherlands, and Canada. Sweden has a set a date for this year to go cashless. 

The Bible describes a cashless future in which all transactions will be conducted within a system that requires a person to possess on or in their body what is commonly called the Mark of the Beast. 

I’m not saying that an implanted chip is the Mark. I am saying that this is the news you expect to read from reading the Bible as a futurist.

There is an amazing prophecy in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ that has defied our best guesses as to what it might be. 

That is, until now.

The passage I am about to read refers to a person called the second Beast. He is a false prophet who assists the man we commonly call the antichrist, whom the Bible calls the first Beast.

Rev 13:14  And he deceives those who dwell on the Earth – by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the Earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

Rev 13:15  He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

Rev 13:16  He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,

Rev 13:17  and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Let’s focus on the image of the first beast:

• It is man-made, therefore inanimate. 
• It will be given breath and become sentient.
• It will speak on its own.  
• It will have power to identify anyone on the planet who will not worship the antichrist. 
• It will first exclude, then execute those it has identified.

Not too long ago, if you asked me what was being described, I’d have shrugged my shoulders. Not so today. A good guess is that what is being described is a type of Artificial Intelligence, AI for short.

Elon Musk is no stranger to AI. He has been on the cutting edge in its development. Which makes his most recent comments so heavy. He believes that certain individuals are moving too quickly, that we need safeguards before the AI we are creating gets to the point where it can overwhelm and overthrow our species. 

As an example, Musk pointed to GOOGLE co-founder Larry Page. He wants to create a super intelligent AI that he once called a ‘digital god.’ 

“I would talk to him late into the night about AI safety, and at least my perception was that Larry was not taking AI safety seriously enough,” Musk said, adding that Page wanted a “digital super-intelligence, basically a digital god, if you will, as soon as possible.”

In 2018, GOOGLE’s CEO told a digital summit, “AI is one of the most important things that humanity is working on. It’s more profound than, I don’t know, electricity or fire.” 

It is shaping up just like a classic SyFy movie.

Three stories from last week:

1. Chinese researchers say an Artificial Intelligence machine was given temporary full control of a satellite in near-Earth orbit, in a landmark experiment to test the technology’s behavior in space. For 24 hours the Qimingxing 1, a small Earth observation satellite, was directed by a ground-based AI, without any human order, assignment or intervention, according to a paper published in the journal Geomatics and Information Science of Wuhan University.
2. Samsung wants to release EX1, a human assistant robot, this year. 
3. AI could lead to a ‘nuclear-level catastrophe’ according to a third of researchers, a new Stanford report finds. 

We know that artificial intelligence is not going to take over the world and annihilate mankind.

We have several hundred unfulfilled Bible prophecies, and the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, to tell us what is going to happen.

When we talk AI, it’s because it is the kind of development you expect from reading the Bible literally, as a futurist. We are not saying that AI is definitely what will animate the image of the beast, only that everything is falling into place for the final seven years before the Second Coming of Jesus.

The apostle Paul wrote, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power” (Second Timothy 3:1-5). 

Let’s take a look at “disobedient to parents.” Kids have always been disobedient to their parents. What if it has the application of not needing to “obey their parents?” In other words, what if it might include the lack of parental consent?

I read an article titled, New Bill Would Have California Parents Lose Parental Rights At Age 12.

Excerpts:   

Snuck into AB 665, legislation ostensibly about extending mental health care to lower-income California youths, is a provision that effectively would terminate parents’ rights over their kids as soon as they turn 12.

The California Family Council warns that this bill “would allow children as young as 12 years old to consent to being placed into state funded group homes without parental permission or knowledge.”

As long as a mental health professional signs off on it, the kids can go to such a group home – and it doesn’t matter what their parents think.

“This bill gives a stranger, a school psychologist, power to decide whether a sixth or seventh grader comes home from school that day, and that’s terrifying,” Erin Friday, a California mom of two teens, tells The Daily Signal. Why is this needed? The article explains, “LGBT youth are likely to avoid using public mental health services if they believe that doing so will cause them to have to reveal their LGBT status to their parents or peers,” the Center for American Progress said in a report.^[1]

parentalrights.org reports the following:

Parental rights.org says, “Too often, the area of education sees the tension between parents and a group of professional elites who believe they can better make decisions for all children.”

• Laws in a majority of states limit or entirely deny to parents any “right” to be present on school grounds where their child is in attendance.
• The Ninth Circuit in Fields v. Palmdale (2005) held that, “Parents…have no constitutional right…to prevent a public school from providing its students with whatever information it wishes to provide, sexual or otherwise, when and as the school determines that it is appropriate to do so.”^[2]

Overthrowing parental consent is a severe form of disobedience to parents. It’s to be expected as the world is hurtling towards the Time of Jacob’s Trouble and the totalitarian global rule of the antichrist.

Prophecy Update #738 – Robot In The Mirror

One of the ways we look ahead to tomorrow is to consider the hundreds of unfulfilled prophecies in the Bible. We can expect the world to be moving in the direction predicted for the End Times.

There is an intriguing passage in the Revelation about a statue, a guy we call the false prophet, and the Beast, which is another name of the antichrist.

An image of the Beast is going to come to “life.”

Rev 13:14 And [the false prophet] deceives those who dwell on the earth – by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. Rev 13:15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

It sounds a lot like what we would call Artificial Intelligence; AI for short. The world is definitely trending towards more intelligent and more powerful AI. 

So much so that this week, “More than 1,000 tech leaders, researchers and others signed an open letter urging a moratorium on the development of the most powerful artificial intelligence systems.”

Excerpts: 

The demand is made in an open letter signed by major AI players including: Elon Musk, who co-founded OpenAI, the research lab responsible for ChatGPT and GPT-4; Emad Mostaque, who founded London-based Stability AI; and Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple.

Its signatories also include engineers from Amazon, DeepMind, Google, Meta and Microsoft, as well as academics including the cognitive scientist Gary Marcus.

“Recent months have seen AI labs locked in an out-of-control race to develop and deploy ever more powerful digital minds that no one – not even their creators – can understand, predict, or reliably control,” the letter says.

“Powerful AI systems should be developed only once we are confident that their effects will be positive and their risks will be manageable.”^[1]

Thebulletin.org reported, How science-fiction tropes shape military AI. The article said, 

The Terminator series has proved influential. In 2016, then-Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Paul Selva discussed what he and members organizations called the “Terminator conundrum.” He wondered: “What happens when that [machine] can inflict mortal harm and is empowered by Artificial Intelligence? How are we going to know what is in [its] mind?” Selva also wondered what adversaries would do with the technology.^[2]

This is a real headline.  Romanian Prime Minister Unveils First AI Government Assistant.

Excerpts: 

Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă brought a surprise guest to Wednesday’s cabinet meeting: his new honorary assistant, a completely Romanian-developed artificial intelligence.

Romania, which famously has the fastest internet in Europe, has long been building its image as a technological powerhouse within the EU in terms of new software and innovation, and can now show yet another achievement to add to its inventory.

“The Romanian government is marking a first, I might say, at a national and international level,” Ciucă said while introducing the language model. “The first government advisor using artificial intelligence.” 

The robot, which is integrated into a mirror and projects its written answers onto the glass, bears the name “ION” (Romanian version of John), which – according to the PM’s enthusiastic report – is in fact the Romanian word “noi” backward, meaning “us.”^[3]

The sole reason we talk about AI is this: The Bible, 2,000 years ago, predicted an “image” would come to life. That prophecy could be fulfilled by AI. We are alive in the first and only time in history that makes any sense.

Prophecy Update #737 – Code Red

The only way to make sense of what is happening around the world today is to know what is going to happen tomorrow.  God has seen fit to tell us a great many things about the future.  There are hundreds of yet-to-be fulfilled prophecies in the Bible.

A Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem will play a critical role in the Time of Jacob’s Trouble we commonly call the Great Tribulation. Both Daniel and Jesus reference it. When there is news about rebuilding it, or reinstating sacrifices, it is what you expect from unfulfilled Bible prophecy.  

A recent news article was titled, Red Heifers Arrive In Israel From Texas In Anticipation Of Third Temple Service.

Excerpts:

The Temple Institute and Boneh Israel made a huge step towards reinstating the Temple service when five red heifers landed at Ben Gurion International Airport.

The red heifer was the main component in the Biblically mandated process of ritual purification for impurity that results from proximity or contact with a dead body. Because the elements needed for this ceremony have been lacking since the destruction of the Second Temple, all Jews today are considered ritually impure, thereby preventing the return of the Temple service.

The cows were between 5-8 months old. To be suitable for the red heifer ceremony, the cow must be two years and one day old so these heifers will be raised in Israel until they reach the proper age.^[1] 

Have you heard of the Abraham Accords?  They are a series of joint normalization statements initially between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, effective since September 15, 2020. Israel is expanding those accords to include the other, mostly, Muslim, nations.

Another article reported, “Israel is negotiating with Mauritania, Indonesia, Somalia and Niger in order to expand the 2020 Abraham Accords normalization agreements. Sources said that Foreign Minister Eli Cohen was working to normalize ties with Mauritania, Somalia, Niger and Indonesia.”^[2]

An article in Charisma magazine said the world is currently enduring a conglomeration of events that are all predicted to occur in the Bible, wars and rumors of wars overlap historic droughts and decaying morality within society. Men call evil good and good evil, and have replaced God with false idols. But perhaps the most telling sign of the times is the changing attitude toward Israel. Across the world, Jews are enduring an increase of anti-Semitism, including from countries that were once staunch allies.^[3]

This is interesting. The prime minister of Israel came to the defense of Christians in the wake of a proposed law that would send believers to prison merely for sharing Jesus’ message in the Jewish state. “We will not advance any law against the Christian community,” Benjamin Netanyahu announced.^[4]

We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven year Time of Jacob’s Trouble, more commonly called the Great Tribulation.  

We will not, however, be on Earth when God is pouring out His wrath.

The resurrection and rapture of the church are imminent.  It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.

Jesus will come, in the clouds, and raise the dead believers of the Church Age.

He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies. 

We will join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.

Prophecy Update #736 – Compassionate Communism?

The only way to make sense of what is happening around the world today is to know what is going to happen tomorrow.  God has seen fit to tell us a great many things about the future.  There are hundreds of yet-to-be fulfilled prophecies in the Bible.

We reserve a few minutes Sunday morning to suggest news, or trends, that seem to be predicted by a literal, futurist reading of the Bible.

We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy.  We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening. 

A one-world, global government of some sort will be a key feature of the final years on Earth before Jesus returns in His Second Coming.  We expect the nations of the world to move in that direction… And they are.  

A very unlikely country has stepped-up as a proponent and leader of a more global government.  I read an article titled, China-proposed initiative on global civilization hailed.

Excerpts:  

Leaders of political parties and organizations from around the world have hailed the China-proposed Global Civilization Initiative, saying that it has great relevance, together with the Global Development Initiative and Global Security Initiative, to building up countries’ consensus on addressing mounting global challenges in terms of peace, security, development and harmonious coexistence.

Their comments came as Xi [Z] Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, unveiled the Global Civilization Initiative on Wednesday at the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting. The initiative calls for respect for the diversity of civilizations, upholding the common values of humanity in pursuing peace, development, equity, justice, democracy and freedom, and promoting robust international people-to-people exchanges and cooperation.

Political leaders who took part in the virtual meeting spoke positively about Xi’s initiative and expressed their willingness to work with the CPC.^[1]

It is a big deal.  The CPC and World Political Parties Summit is an annual, international relations video conference between various international political parties, including both governing and non-governing parties, first held in 2021.  I couldn’t find the stats for this year’s summit.  In 2021 the summit involved representatives from 500 political parties across 160 countries and over 10,000 party representatives.   

The COVID19 pandemic and the constant fear generated by Climate Change are the leading factors that are driving the push for global government.  Add to that world hunger, and nations are ready to surrender sovereignty for survival.  

In September of 2021, The Pan-European Commission on Health and Sustainable Development convened by the World Health Organization (WHO) called for global governance and recommended the establishment of a Global Health Board. 

The World Government Summit is an annual event held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It brings together leaders in government for a global dialogue about governmental process and policies with a focus on the issues of futurism, technology innovation and other topics.

Arvind Ashta is holder of the Banque Populaire Chair in Microfinance at the Burgundy School of Business (ESC Dijon), and has degrees in economics, business management, political science and law from prestigious institutions in India and France.  He recently said, “It is time to seriously consider the advantages of a world federal government.”

Prophecy Update #735 – They’ve Taken The Man Out Of Repo Man

We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy.  We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build- up to the future seven year Great Tribulation.

The aging apostle John was exiled to the Island of Patmos.  It was there that he received what we call The Revelation of Jesus Christ.  The bulk of the book, chapters six through eighteen, describe the Time of Jacobs Trouble.  

We commonly refer to it as the Great Tribulation, and that’s OK.  The prophet Jeremiah is the one who referred to it as Jacob’s Trouble.  I’m calling it that more-and-more, and I invite you do the same, because that title makes it clear that those seven years of great tribulation are focused on all Israel being saved.  

We know from the Revelation that there will be a cashless system of global commerce and identity.  Your resources will be accessed by a ‘mark’ on you or in you.  This ‘mark’ is some sort of personal identifier.

A cashless system of global commerce and identity is possible today, for the first time in human history.

The Wall Street Journal posted an article titled, Central-Bank Digital Currencies Are Coming – Whether Countries Are Ready or Not.

Excerpts: 

One hundred and fourteen countries are exploring digital currencies, and their collective economies represent more than 95% of the world’s GDP, according to the Atlantic Council’s Central Bank Digital Currency tracker.  Some countries, including China, India, Nigeria and the Bahamas, have already rolled out digital currencies.  Others, like Sweden and Japan, are preparing for possible rollouts.^[1]

brietbart.com posted an article titled, Project Cedar: Inside the Plot to Destroy the US Dollar.

But “Project Cedar” is just the second step in a complete overhaul of the US banking system.

The first step was announced on March 9, 2022, when President Biden signed Executive Order 14067.

This Executive Order gave legal provisions for this new US dollar and could give the US government unprecedented control over your money and freedom.

In fact, it could even pave the way for things like:

• Legal government surveillance of all US citizens
• Total control over your bank accounts and purchases
• And the ability to silence all dissenting voices for good

“I’ve been warning about this for months,” says renowned macroeconomist Jim Rickards.

“Now with the launch of ‘Project Cedar’, the wheels are fully in motion – and I don’t believe anything can stop it.”^[2]

forbes.com posted an article titled, Cashless Payments Are Here To Stay. Here’s How To Determine Which Method Is Right For You.

Prior to the Covid19 outbreak, there was already a significant decrease in cash transactions, as reported by Pew Research Center.  Fast forward three years, roughly four-in-ten Americans say none of their purchases in a typical week are paid for using cash.^[3]

The article then lists a handful of technologies currently available to allow cashless commerce:

• Your traditional debit or credit card. Those can be contactless through RFID and NFC technology, where all a user needs to do is tap their card at the point-of-sale to complete a transaction.
• Mobile wallets and apps. Those can include any open wallet, from PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, to closed wallets tied to a specific retailer or brand like Amazon Pay, Walmart Pay or the Starbucks app. 
• There are RFID wearables such as wristbands that allow consumers to make cashless or contactless. 

We have reported on many more, e.g., retinal scans, palm vein readers, imbedded chips, etc.

Once government eliminates cash, and can access your funds electronically, there can be no expectation of personal freedom.

For example, if you miss your payments on Ford’s latest self-driving car then it will repossess itself and drive away without you. 

Two thousand years ago, the Bible predicted global government with the power to control all cashless commerce.  It could happen overnight.

Prophecy Update #734 – Things To Do In Canada When You’re Dead

I stumbled upon a 2017 article from Georgia Southern University, published in The American Journal of Management. It was titled, Is Globalization a Fulfillment of Christian Biblical Prophecy? It’s conclusion stated the following:

Until our generation, it has been impossible for any one person or government to completely control the worlds economic system. The changes that have taken place over the past 50-60 years economically and politically have paved the way for a unified government and unified economic system. With the growth in the United Nations and the major changes in currency, the foundation has been laid for Biblical prophecy to be fulfilled. The changes have been gradual, and in the eyes of the world, have just been part of the normal course of business. Globalization has become commonplace. Changes in technology excite the average consumer by creating conveniences never before experienced. The integration of global culture, politics, and economies are embraced worldwide. However, the prophecies of the writers of Daniel and Revelation are being fulfilled before our eyes.^[1]

One of the driving forces of globalism, if not THE driving force, is concern over climate-change. Everyone wants to save the planet. To do so, organizations like the United Nations and the World Economic Forum are pushing a radical agenda that would severely impact human freedoms.

There is one issue that has been in the background, unspoken, but is now a part of the discussion. It is the world’s population. Too many people, not enough resources, is the mantra.

There is a lot of talk about overpopulation, but little about a solution. What is beginning to emerge, however, is almost unthinkable. Let people kill themselves, or kill them.

James Cameron isn’t in charge of anything, but what he said recently is, I think, something we will be hearing more. In an interview with Time, the film director said, “I can relate to Thanos… I thought he had a pretty viable answer. The problem is nobody is going to put up their hand to volunteer to be the half that has to go.”

If you’re unfamiliar with Thanos, he was the big bad in the Marvel Comic Universe. He acquired the power to save the universe by eliminating ½ of its population with a snap of his fingers. You’ll see the saying, “Thanos was right,” just about everywhere.

The good people at NotTheBee commented, “A lot of the push from the World Economic Forum and other environmental causes these days are following the ideals of Paul Ehrlich, who thinks the ideal population of the Earth is about 1.5 to 2 billion, which if you’re keeping track means a reduction of way more than half of the humans on the planet.”

Canada knows how to eliminate people. Euthanasia in Canada in its legal voluntary form is called medical assistance in dying (MAID) and it first became legal along with assisted suicide in June 2016 to end the suffering of terminally ill adults.

In March 2021, the law was amended to permit assisted euthanasia in additional situations, including for certain patients whose natural death is not reasonably foreseeable.

They next amended the Canadian Criminal Code so as to legalize both physician-administered euthanasia (PAE) and physician-assisted suicide (PAS), and to govern access to both procedures in Canada. The bill disallowed for medically assisted death on the grounds of mental illness, long-term disability, or any curable condition, and did not make euthanasia available to minors.

They amended it again to allow for euthanasia because of mental illness. They are talking about amending it again, to allow state-sponsored suicide for kids – without age limit and without parental consent if necessary.

In 2021, more than 10,000 people died by euthanasia in Canada.

The number of people in the world with access to euthanasia and/or physician-assisted suicide (PAS) is over 200mil.

This is from an older article, 2012. “Despite safeguards, more than 500 people in the Netherlands are euthanized involuntarily every year. In 2005, more than 560 people were administered lethal substances without having given explicit consent. For every 5 people euthanized, 1 is euthanized without having given explicit consent. Attempts at bringing those cases to trial have failed, providing evidence that the judicial system has become more tolerant over time of such transgressions.”

In Belgium, the rate of involuntary and non-voluntary euthanasia deaths (that is, without explicit consent) is 3 times higher than it is in the Netherlands.

I list this under ‘globalism.’ If you think that’s a stretch consider this. Satan is a murderer. You’d expect an uptick in murders going into the years of the Great Tribulation. The rush to legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide – it’s in the category of murders. Self-murders, but still, murders.

We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven year Great Tribulation that is described in the last book of the Bible. We will not, however, be on Earth during that terrible Time of Jacob’s Trouble.
