Prophecy Update 762 – Jew Haters Gonna Hate

“Everything has happened just as I said it would; now I will announce what will happen next”

(Isaiah 42:9 CEV) 

Those are God’s words recorded by the prophet Isaiah.

• If we look back, we can verify that God’s former prophecies were 100% accurate.
• As we look forward, His unfulfilled Last Days prophecies will be 100% accurate.

We are approaching our 800^th Prophecy Update. Never in all that time have so many of the things the Bible predicts been so obviously trending. We are going to talk about Israel, but let me give you one other trend.

The prophet Daniel was told, “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” (12:4). We take it to mean there will be an exponential explosion of knowledge in the Last Days.

I am not exaggerating to say we are experiencing the exponential explosion of knowledge like never before. A big part of that is AI – Artificial Intelligence. But there are other advances as well. One headline I read was, Scientists accidentally create new material that could make computer chips 1 million times faster.

If that’s not ‘exponential, I’ll eat a bug.

Israel is at the heart of the Last Days prophecies:

1. God prophesied that Israel would be scattered all over the world. That is fulfilled.
2. God prophesied that Israel would be regathered to her land. That is fulfilled.
3. God prophesied that Israel would be a nation again. That is fulfilled.
4. God prophesied that Israel would be a source of trouble for all nations of the earth. We are seeing this right now.

In the wake of Israel’s retaliation against Hamas for their brutal massacre of innocents, we are witnessing world-wide hatred for the Jews. CNN reported, A new wave of antisemitism threatens to rock an already unstable world. The article focused on the US, where incidents of antisemitism are up 400%.

Quote: “There is a climate of growing fear. Jewish day schools have canceled classes. Synagogues have been locked. Social media has pulsated with hatred against Jews, leaving a community that can never escape its historic trauma yet again wondering where and when it can ever be safe.”

Reuters posted an article titled, Open hatred of Jews surges globally, inflamed by Gaza war. Quote: “In Los Angeles, a man screaming “kill Jews” attempted to break into a family’s home. In London, girls in a playground are told they are “stinking Jews” and should stay off the slide. In China, posts likening Jews to parasites, vampires or snakes proliferate on social media, attracting thousands of ‘likes.’ ”

Elsewhere…

• In Milan, Italy anti-Israel protesters shouted “Open the borders so we can kill the Jews.”
• In Toronto, Canada pro-Hamas protestors harassed diners at Jewish-owned Cafe Landwer and demanded a boycott of the “Zionist Cafe.”
• In Thessaloniki, Greece a mural at a Holocaust memorial was defaced with Jews = Nazis and “Free Palestine.”
• The Argentine Federal Police arrested an individual who posted on social media a threat to “go to a Jewish school and shoot as many kids as I can.”
• In France almost 80 Stars of David were painted on apartment buildings and banks in Paris and its suburbs.
• Protesters outside the Opera House in Sydney, Australia shouted, “Gas the Jews.”
• A crowd of people stormed an airport in Russia’s mostly Muslim region of Dagestan, where a flight from Israel arrived on Sunday, chanting, “There is no place for child-killers in Dagestan.”

This is Satanic; there is no other way to understand it.

We consider what is happening setting the stage for the antichrist to rise and make peace in the Middle East. He will sign a 7yr pact with Israel. That event is the start of the Great Tribulation.

We can’t know when that is going to happen. We may have to endure much hardship. Factor in that God may bring judgment upon the US for our national sins.

We can be certain the church will not be in the Great Tribulation.

Jesus promised His Church, “I… will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world [the Great Tribulation], to test those who dwell on the earth” (Revelation 3:10). He keeps us entirely out of those 7yrs by raising deceased Church Age saints, then rapturing “we who are alive and remain.”

The return of the Lord for us is imminent. It could happen any time. Nothing needs to occur before Jesus comes for us.

Prophecy Update #761 – This Means Wars

• Military Times headline 5 days ago: US Troops in Middle East Brace for Significant Escalation of Attacks.
• Hindustani Times headline 3 days ago: US Bombs Iranian Sites in Syria After Attacks on Troops in Middle East.

Russia, China, and Iran are allied against the US. They are being called the ‘new axis of evil.’ “Wars & rumors of war” abound. What are we being drawn into?

Believers and unbelievers are asking questions about Bible prophecy. We need a big-picture view of current & coming events so we have solid, not sensational, information to share with others.

The Bible tells the story of how a holy God can save sinful human beings without compromising His love or His righteousness. The only way is for God to become a man in order to substitute Himself as the acceptable sacrifice for the sins of mankind.

• In order to add humanity to His deity, God had to be miraculously born into the human race.
• In order to be miraculously born into the human race there needed to be a people, a nation, that was chosen by God to be those He would descend from.

Those people are the physical descendants of Abraham through the twelve tribes of Abraham’s grandson, Jacob – whose name was changed to Israel.   

Jesus was born according to prophecy. The leaders of Israel rejected Him. Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and promised to come again. When He returns all Israel will be saved.

In the interim it is prophesied that Israel would be scattered throughout the world, regathered to her homeland, and be reestablished as a nation resulting in trouble for all the nations. Do you see how Israel has fulfilled these prophecies?

Israel has not repented of rejecting Jesus Christ. God has designated the coming 7yr Great Tribulation for Israel’s repentance. He calls it The Time of Jacob’s Trouble because it is primarily for God to prepare the Jews to receive Jesus. When Jesus returns at the end of the 7yrs all surviving Israelites will be saved and enter the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Leading up to His return as King, there are three predicted military campaigns:

#1 Isaiah 17:1-3 & Jeremiah 49:23-27 explain that the city of Damascus will be completely destroyed never to be inhabited again. Syrian state media say Israel hit the airports in Damascus and Aleppo for a second time since the war with Hamas began. The US has targeted Syria.

#2 “Gog” will form a coalition of nations to attack Israel. This prophecy is in Ezekiel 38&39. “Gog” seems to be a title, like Pharoah. We read, “I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army… you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely” (38:4&8).

Ezekiel lists the nations allied with Gog, The latest scholarship says they are Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya (and possibly Algeria and Tunisia), Sudan, and the territories in the southern part of Russia that were formerly part of the Soviet Union, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and northern Afghanistan.

#3 Psalm 83 reveals another war between regathered Israel and her enemies. It reads (in part), “They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’ For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You: The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrites; Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria also has joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot.’ ”

This is not Gog. The nations listed are not the same. The two campaigns are dissimilar in many other ways.

When will Psalm 83 & Ezekiel 38&39 go from prophecy to history? We are not told. We do know that Ezekiel 38&39 has not already occurred because it happens after the regathering of the Jews to their land (38:12). The Psalm 83 war likely occurs before Ezekiel 38&39. They occur between now and the return of Jesus to end another war, the Battle of Armageddon.

These conflicts could pre-date the Great Tribulation.

If they do, the church will witness them, and be affected by them.

Prophecy Update #760 – Digital Doings Down Under

The Bible is estimated to be 25% to 35% prophecy. Its very specific prophecies

have thus far been 100% accurate.

There is much Bible prophecy that is yet unfulfilled. For example, beginning in chapter four, everything in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is future to us. That is why we are called futurists. We believe that these yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies will be fulfilled in a physical, literal, global, apocalyptic context.

It makes sense that the world would be moving in the direction that the prophecies predict. Here is a list of a few signs or trends that we follow:

• The reemergence of Israel as a nation (Isaiah 66:8).
• International conflict over Israel (Zechariah12:3).
• The alignment of hostile nations against Israel (Ezekiel 38).
• The efforts of Israel to rebuild their Temple (Matthew 24:15).
• Growing apostasy in the Church (Second Timothy 3:1-9).
• Instantaneous global communication (Revelation 11:4).
• The move towards a global government (Revelation 13).
• The move towards a global cashless society, accessed by a personal identifier (Revelation 13).
• An exponential leap in human knowledge (Daniel 12:4).

All of those are trending as never before.

I always give two disclaimers:

1. We are careful to use recognized, reliable sources for news. Sensationalism about the future is detrimental.
2. We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy. We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build-up to the future Great Tribulation.

A recent news report in Australia noted, “A digital ID system could be operating between governments and the private sector as soon as next year.”

Alex Antic is a Senator for North Australia. He recently said this:

We’ve got Smart City programs being rolled out across the country. Invasive technologies such as facial recognition, cameras, license plate readers, smart light, smart poles, smart cars, smart neighborhoods, smart homes, and smart appliances – all connected to wireless networks and communicating with each other. So what’s wrong with that technology? Isn’t all this is for your safety security and convenience? Isn’t it?

Well let me tell you – your streets are spying on you; your mobile phone is spying on you; your cities are spying on you. You and the infrastructure for future lockdowns is being put into place right now.

Don’t be fooled. You’re being set up to be tracked through your movements and through your digital wallets by handing over your data. You’re handing over the ability to monitor your behavior, which will soon be turned into a social credit score, and once the Central Bank digital currencies are in place you won’t get to spend your money without approval.

Digital ID will soon become a reality in Australia. Eventually you won’t be able to access any government or public services and you won’t be able to travel across borders or access healthcare or the internet without a digital ID.

The stage is being set for the coming of the antichrist.

• Premillennial means that Jesus will return to Earth to establish a physical one thousand year kingdom.
• Pretribulation means that Jesus will remove His Church from the Earth before the Great Tribulation that precedes His return as king.

Prophecy Update #759 – Hamas And Haman

What is going on with Israel?

It is the question on everyone’s mind. Unbelievers and the believers who don’t study prophecy are looking to us – to you – for answers.

The Bible tells the story of how a holy God can save sinful human beings without compromising. The only way it can be done is for God to become a man in order to substitute Himself for the sins of mankind.

In order to add humanity to His deity, God had to be miraculously born into the human race. And in order for that to happen, there needed to be a people, a nation, that was chosen by God as the humans He would descend from. That nation is Israel, and those people are the Jews.

Since Israel is critical to God’s plan, we expect Satan to marshal forces against them.

• He tried to keep Jesus from coming.
• Ever since that failed he has been trying to interfere with Jesus’ Second Coming by attempting to exterminate all Jews.

Modern Israel dwelling in her ancient homeland is a miracle and a fulfillment of prophecy. The Bible predicted the following:

• Israel would be scattered among the nations. Hosea 9:17, “My God will reject them because they have not obeyed Him; they will be wanderers among the nations.”
• Israel would be regathered to their land. Isaiah 11:12, “And He shall raise a banner to the nations, and He shall gather the lost of Israel, and the scattered ones of Judah He shall gather from the four corners of the earth.”
• Israel would be established as a nation again in her homeland. Isaiah 66:8, “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children.” That day was May 14, 1948.
• Israel would be troublesome for all the nations. Zechariah 12:3, “And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.”

Israel is in her land, but the nation has not repented of rejecting their Messiah, Jesus Christ. God has designated a coming 7yr time of great tribulation for Israel. He calls it, The Time of Jacob’s Trouble. It will result in the death of ⅔ of the Jews, but the surviving ⅓ will be saved when Jesus returns.

If you’re wondering where in the Bible, exactly, this current war is prophesied, that’s not gonna happen. It is a precursor, perhaps, to something greater. For now we watch and stay in the big picture, not making outrageous claims.

Consider the current conflict a fulfillment of Jesus’ statement that in the build-up to the Time of Jacob’s Trouble there will be “wars and rumors of wars.”

There are some things that are fascinating to contemplate:

#1 “Hamas” appears in the Bible! Not the terrorists themselves. In Hebrew the word Hamas (חמס) means violence. Appropriate, don’t you think? It occurs in Genesis 6:11 where we’re told that in the days of Noah, “the earth was filled with hamas [violence].” Jesus told us in the Olivet Discourse that “as days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matthew 24:37).

#2 Israelis are making a connection between Hamas and the vile Bible character Haman. He was a Jew hater who finagled the King of Persia to declare a day during which they would attack and kill all Jews in the kingdom and beyond, confiscating their property. Haman didn’t know Queen Esther was a Jew. The king declared that the Jews could fight back. You probably know this but ancient Persia in modern day Iran. Only I don’t think any of Iran’s leaders are married to a Jew.

#3 Speaking of Persia: In the Book of Daniel, the angel Gabriel was dispatched to Daniel to give him the great 70 Weeks prophecy about the Last Days. He is hindered by a supernatural being called the Prince of Persia. This person is the only such under lord over a nation revealed in the Bible.

#4 Haman was a descendant of Agag, the king of the Amalekites, long-time enemies of Israel. It was the Amalekites who launched an unprovoked attack on the weak stragglers as the Jews were being led by Moses. Israelis are mentioning “the spirit of Amalek” as they comment on what is happening. Especially the murdering of “stragglers, i.e., infants, children, women.

#5 Ynet News published the following headline: “IDF will destroy Damascus, target Syrian President Assad if Hezbollah joins war; US warships will support Israel in war.” Israeli jets attacked and disabled the airports in Damascus and Aleppo. In chapter 17 in the Book of Isaiah, the city of Damascus is a pile of rubble. The Bible says it will disappear from the face of the earth and become a heap of ruins (17:1). At the same time, large parts of northern Israel will also lie in ruin (17:3). The prophecy has obviously never been fulfilled because Damascus is still standing.

#6 One member of the Knesset named Revital Gotliv has been calling for the use of nuclear weapons. “Jericho Missile! Jericho Missile! Strategic alert. Before considering the introduction of forces. Doomsday weapon!” Gotliv wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday, according to a translation.

Another post says: “I urge you to do everything and use Doomsday weapons fearlessly against our enemies.”

#7 The Hamas attack was launched as Israelis were wrapping up the seven-day-long Jewish Feast of Tabernacles that followed 5 days after Yom Kippur. All of the biblical feasts are prophetic. The Spring feasts speak of the Messiah’s coming: Passover is a foreshadow of Calvary, Firstfruits of the resurrection, and Shavuot (the Feast of Weeks) is a forerunner to the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost. The Fall Feasts symbolize the last trumpet that will sound as the Messiah returns, Yom Kippur points to the final judgement, and Sukkot (Tabernacles) is the final feast when the Lord will dwell among His people as King of kings.

A Messianic Jewish site I visited said this:

Each Feast/Festival of the Lord has three defining characteristics: The people of God observe the festivals in the present to remember past works of God, all the while looking ahead to greater future works of God. The first four feasts were prophetic foreshadows of the first-coming of Yeshua (Jesus). Consequently, just as Yeshua (Jesus) fulfilled the first four feasts in His first-coming, no doubt He will fulfill the remaining feasts in His Second Coming.

I encourage you to keep a big picture view of what is happening. No need to get sensational or conspiratorial. Israel’s existence fulfills many prophecies, and we therefore expect wars & rumors of war until the moment the Time of Jacob’s Trouble begins.

You are undoubtedly aware that Hamas launched an unprecedented, multi-front attack on Israel, firing thousands of rockets as dozens of Hamas fighters infiltrated the heavily fortified border in several locations and catching the country off-guard on a major holiday. Founded in 1988 as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas is called “the militant rulers of the Gaza Strip.” They set two long-term goals, articulated in its charter:

1. The end to the Jewish state.
2. The creation of an Islamic state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

I found this eye witness account:

From Avner and Rachel Boskey in Israel The surprise attack on the morning of October 7 by Islamist terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad has brought forth its demonic fruit – the slaughter of at least 250 Israelis, the wounding of over a thousand Jewish people, and the kidnapping to Gazan underground tunnels and prisons of hundreds more citizens of the Jewish state. These crimes were met with rejoicing among the bestial mobs of Gaza. Golden-ager Jewish women were shot at point blank range by jihadi terror squads, as were their daughters and grandchildren. Bodies of young women and soldiers were dragged across public squares and stomped on by mobs screaming out ‘Allahu akbar’ – ‘Allah is greater.’ Teenaged girls were hauled by their hair past violent crowds, while candies and sweet pastries were distributed to the Gazan bystanders in celebration of this ‘uncircumcised victory.’

Thomas Ice asks & answers, “Is the current state of Israel a work of God as predicted in Bible prophecy or is it merely an accident of history? I believe that modern Israel is a Divine work and is in the process of fulfilling Bible prophecy. I believe that Israel, as she is constituted today, is a work of God in progress preparing the nation for the Tribulation, which will lead to her national conversion, the Second Coming of Christ and His millennial reign.”

Prophecy Update #757 – Take Me To Your CEO

There is much Bible prophecy that is yet unfulfilled. For example, beginning in chapter six, everything in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is future to us. That is why we are called futurists. We believe that these yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies will be fulfilled in a physical, literal, global, apocalyptic context.

It makes sense that the world would be moving in the direction that the prophecies predict. Biometrics, Artificial Intelligence, cashless commerce, the manipulation of human DNA, global government, the exponential growth of human knowledge, and the rebirth of national Israel are potential End Times phenomena the Bible predicts. All of these are increasingly trending in the news.

In the Revelation of Jesus Christ, in the future, we read about a fascinating and terrifying “image.” A man we call the False Prophet oversees the making of this “image,” which by its description seems to possess sentient life.

“[The False Prophet] causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship [the Antichrist], whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. [He tells] those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the [Antichrist]… He was granted power to give breath to the image… that the image… should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image… to be killed.”

What could animate this “image,” rendering it sentient and deadly? Artificial Intelligence.

A recent article posted to the internet was titled, The humanoid-robot CEO of a drinks company says it doesn’t have weekends and is “always on 24/7.”

Excerpts: 

The CEO of the Polish drinks company Dictador is an AI-powered humanoid robot.

Dictador appointed the AI-powered robot, named Mika, as its experimental chief executive in August last year, and it’s not afraid to put in the hours to help the company “take over the world.”

Dictador is not the first company to make a bot its CEO. Last year, a Chinese gaming firm appointed an “AI-powered virtual humanoid robot” named Tang Yu as the chief executive of a subsidiary, Fujian NetDragon Websoft.”

The Chinese company said in their press release, “We believe AI is the future of corporate management, and our appointment of Ms. Tang Yu represents our commitment to truly embrace the use of AI to transform the way we operate our business, and ultimately drive our future strategic growth.”

AI robots were spotted hanging out among the crowd at the Week 1 NFL game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Miami Dolphins at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. These robots are not actors or people in suits, but they are real characters from the upcoming movie The Creator. Some were placed on the sideline, others were in the concourse and some simply sat in seats throughout the stadium.

One report said, “The human fans didn’t know what to think of their fellow fans, but their curiosity turned into fascination after watching them act like human fans – cheering, high-fives, back-and-forth talk – during the game.” One fan tweeted, “Got a high-five from the robot seated next to me.”

AI satisfies another last days prediction. In the last chapter of the Book of Daniel we are told that human knowledge will explode at an exponential rate. That is true of AI. So true that many are warning we will be conquered by AI.

The Tribulation will not begin until something fantastic happens. The Lord said He would return for us, the Church, raising the dead in Christ, then catching up, rapturing, believers who are alive when He comes. He promised His Church Age believers, “I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth” (Rev 3:10).

The resurrection and rapture of the church is always imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.

Prophecy Update #756 – The G

The Bible is estimated to be 25%-35% prophecy. It’s very specific prophecies have thus far been 100% accurate.

There is much Bible prophecy that is yet unfulfilled. For example, beginning in chapter six, everything in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is future to us. That is why we are called futurists. We believe that these yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies will be fulfilled in a physical, literal, global, apocalyptic context.

It makes sense that the world would be moving in the direction that the prophecies predict. Biometrics, Artificial Intelligence, cashless commerce, the manipulation of human DNA, global government, the exponential growth of human knowledge, and the rebirth of national Israel are potential End Times phenomena the Bible predicts. All of these are increasingly trending in the news.

I always give two disclaimers:

1. We are careful to use recognized, reliable sources for news. Sensationalism about the future is detrimental.
2. We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy. We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build-up to the future Great Tribulation.

Two-thousand years ago the Bible predicted that there will be a global, totalitarian government. The global economy will be cashless, accessed by a personal identifier involving the hand or forehead. At the mid-point of the 7yr Great Tribulation, the leader we know as the antichrist will demand that everyone acknowledge that he is ‘God.’ Those who refuse will be unable to participate in the system of commerce and government. They will, in fact, be hunted and killed.

All of those predictions seem to be converging.

The G20, or “Group of 20,” is an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 sovereign countries, the European Union (EU), and the African Union (AU). It works to address major issues related to the global economy, such as international financial and climate change.

A recent article was titled, G20 Announces Plan to Impose Digital Currencies and IDs Worldwide.

Excerpts:

The leaders of the Group of 20 nations have agreed to a plan to eventually impose digital currencies and digital IDs on their respective populations, amid concern that governments might use them to monitor their people’s spending and crush dissent.

The G20, which is made up of the world’s leading rich and developing nations and is currently under India’s presidency, adopted a final declaration on the subject over the weekend in New Delhi.

The group announced last week that they had agreed to build the necessary infrastructure to implement digital currencies and IDs. The European Union is currently trying to introduce a bloc-wide “digital identity” app that would consolidate various personal information, including passports, driver’s licenses, and medical history.

In the first sentence the reporter said there is “a plan to eventually impose” this on everyone. A forced system of global commerce and citizenship is exactly what is predicted in the Bible.

The British are imposing climate change mandates upon its citizens. If you have been to London recently you saw signs for Ulez. It stands for “Ultra low emissions zone.” The authorities publish a list of vehicles that meet the emissions and safety standards required to drive in London. If your car does not, you must pay a little over $15.00 per day. To monitor the new zone, Transport for London (TfL) said it would install 2,750 cameras across outer London. As of mid-August, 1,900 cameras had been placed, almost 70% of the total number planned.

President Biden said he plans to request additional funding from Congress for the development of a new COVID19 vaccine, adding he may require everyone to take it whether they previously received a vaccine or not.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has determined that we have fewer than 10 years to reduce global emissions by half to avoid the worst impacts of catastrophic climate change. To tackle this urgent need, they say we must align food policy with climate policy and drastically reduce the amount of meat and dairy produced. This is especially true for countries with high consumption, like the United States. Cutting 90% of beef consumption and replacing 50% of other animal-based foods with plant-based foods in the United States would save more than 2 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions from being released into our atmosphere by 2030.

If polls are correct, most of the people in the world favor it. How much more of this trend will we see? That is impossible to predict.

Prophecy Update #755 – Let’s Get Digital, Digital

Near the end of the first century, an 80+ year old man was banished to a 13 square mile island in the Aegean Sea, 158 nautical miles from the Greek coast. He was guilty of preaching the Gospel. He was the apostle John.

Before banishment, the Romans often flogged or beat the accused. However, according to Tertullian, who lived only decades after John, he was initially plunged into boiling oil while in Rome, but after surviving this ordeal, he was subsequently banished for a period of one to three years.

“I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the Word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ… I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this” (1:9 & 4:1).

One thing John was shown about the future was a cashless, global system of commerce. He described it this way:

Rev 13:16  … both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, [will] receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,

Rev 13:17  and… no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Doesn’t that sound more than a little like Amazon One? It is a cashless payment system that utilizes your hand.

Governments are pushing a global, cashless economy. “FedNow is here!” That was the July announcement made by our federal government. What is it? One article said,

FedNow is the Federal Reserve’s new instant payment service that will enable customers at participating banks and credit unions to send and receive money within seconds, 24/7 and every day. You’d be able to complete payments or transfers on weekends, holidays and after banks’ business hours.

It is similar to PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle. But it is already more flexible, with more options.

We are on the verge of a global, completely cashless economy that will be accessed by a personal biometric identifier.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. calls trend “the slippery slope to financial slavery and political tyranny.” That’s an extreme statement, but you can see how it is true. Once you must rely upon an all digital economy, the government will most assuredly gain access to your account to punish you, or to force behaviors they deem necessary.

I’m not commenting on the politics of a cashless global economy accessed by a ‘mark.’ I’m pointing out that two thousand years ago an aging disciple of Jesus was shown the future, and we are seeing the stage being set for it to unfold exactly as the Lord told John it would.

The Bible predicts a one world government.

An updated term for it is “global government.” World leaders are serious about getting the nations of the world to surrender their sovereignty to a central governing group.

Christians have long been accused of being conspiracy theorists for saying such things. Recently, I might say even suddenly, powerful groups of wealthy influencers, government officials, and tech giants, have come out of the closet with their radical global agendas.

One such organization is the World Economic Forum (WEC), headquartered in Davos, Switzerland. Its chairman is Klaus Schwab. You may not have heard of him, but he is one of the most influential and powerful humans on the planet.

Schwab has more than a few totalitarian plans for Planet Earth.

He was interviewed by Sergey Brin, the American billionaire business magnate best known for co-founding Google with Larry Page. In a video clip Schwab said the following about national elections:

“Digital technologies mainly have an analytical power, [but] now we go into a predictive mode. The next step could be to go into a prescriptive mode, which means you do not even have to have elections any more because you can already predict. Why do we need elections, because we know what the result will be?”

Then he said, “Can you imagine such a world?”

There is more to Schwab’s globalism. He is quoted, “In this new world, we must accept transparency, and I’ll even say total transparency. Everything is going to be transparent, and you have to get used to it, you have to behave accordingly. It becomes, how should I put it, integrated into your personality, but if you have nothing to hide you shouldn’t be afraid.”

TIME magazine interviewed Klaus:

“We will showcase in Davos what we call the Global Collaboration Village and inaugurate it in the summer next year.

“A year ago, when Meta had changed its name, I became curious what [the metaverse] is and could it have an impact. It became very clear: it’s the capability to meet in a virtual three-dimensional room. I mean, you have two levels. First is just to meet around a table with your avatars. And second, is to combine it with an immersive experience, and that’s what we will do in Davos.

“This has such an importance because it can make global collaboration more open; you always can convene the most relevant and the most knowledgeable people. And second, it makes it more sustained, because you can work together on a continued basis, and not just come together for a physical meeting and then nothing happens for quite some time again. We created a community, which has at the moment 70 members, whom we call Village Partners, who support us. I feel this could be a game changer in global collaboration.”

(I think it’s a little weird that he thinks Zoom meetings are some kind of leap forward in world progress).

How many movies have you seen where there is a small group of powerful men working in the shadows to push forward some destructive agenda? The X-files… The first Avenger’s movie… The Company… The Cabal… Hydra.

700 leaders from 130 countries, including 52 heads of state and government, attended the annual 2023 WEF meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The United States has the most representation; 674 attendees, 3x as many as the second on the list, Great Britain.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ predicts a global government in the End Times. Christian futurists have been talking about it for the longest time. It is happening.

We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven year Time of Jacob’s Trouble, commonly called the Great Tribulation, that is described in the last book of the Bible.

We will not be on Earth during that terrible Time of Jacob’s Trouble.

In the Revelation Jesus wrote, “I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth” (3:10). We believe the Lord was addressing the entire church throughout the Church Age. He will keep us “from,” meaning totally out of, the future world-wide tribulation.*   

The resurrection and rapture of the church is imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.

Jesus will come, in the clouds, and raise the dead believers of the Church Age. He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies.

We will join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.
