Prophecy Update #445 – Here’s Lookin’ At You

The Bible accurately foretells specific events – in precise detail – sometimes even centuries before they occur.

Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible.  About 2000, or 80%, have already been fulfilled to the letter, with no errors.

Because we know that the remaining 500 or so prophecies will definitely be fulfilled, we look for news, and trends, that you’d expect to be taking place.

You might call them the signs of the times.

Many of our updates make you aware of advances in the technology available by which a person can be identified.  We see these advances as significant because of the prophecies in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

In the first century, the apostle John saw that, in the last days, people would be able to be identified, and to conduct all their business, by means of something on them, or in them.  At one point he referred to this personal identifier being utilized by the antichrist.  It’s the infamous Mark of the Beast.

The very fact that there are multiple technologies that sound eerily like they could accomplish what John saw is remarkable, to say the least.  We’ve discussed palm prints, vein scans, electronic tattooing, and microchipping – just to mention a few.

Thus I found the following article fascinating.  It was titled, The FBI has quietly gathered 400,000 iris scans.

Excerpts:

The FBI has quietly been collecting iris scans from 434,000 people over the last three years during a “pilot program” involving multiple police departments, the Pentagon and U.S. border patrol, according to a report published Tuesday on The Verge.

The project, which was launched in September 2013, has seen the FBI collaborate with agencies in Texas, Missouri and California, according to documents obtained by the site.

In California, the counties of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino have contributed scans, with the latter’s sheriff’s department harvesting more than 200,000 scans alone. An average of 189 iris scans were collected every day at the start of 2016.

The technology jumped out of [the syfy film] Minority Report and into the real world years ago, starting mostly at airports.  Police departments in the U.S. are scanning the irises of prisoners in custody.  In 2015, a long distance iris scanner that works from 40 feet away was unveiled.

We’re not suggesting these scans are the Mark of the Beast.  In fact, the Mark of the Beast cannot happen until mid-way through the future Great Tribulation.

We are saying that advances in personal identification are exactly what you’d expect from a literal reading of Bible prophecy.

While we look for signs of the times, there is one event that has no sign.  It is presented as being imminent – meaning, it could occur at any moment.

Jesus will come and resurrect the dead believers, than snatch-away those who are alive.  We call this the Rapture of the church.

Are you ready for the rapture?  If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up.  Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
