Prophecy Update #494 – Facial Lookin’ Good

Dr. John F. Walvoord, when asked why he loved Bible prophecy so much, answered the question by saying, “I love Bible prophecy because I love the Bible. So much of the Bible is prophecy, if you love the Bible you have to love Bible prophecy.”

The Bible is about 25-30% prophecy. Fully two thousand five hundred prophecies have been miraculously, meticulously fulfilled.

Approximately five hundred end times Bible prophecies remain to be fulfilled. You’d therefore expect there to be news, and trends, that anticipate their fulfillment.

That’s why each week we present what we call a Prophecy Update.

We read in the Revelation of Jesus Christ that people will be conducting cashless transactions utilizing a system that involves what is called a ‘mark’ on their hand or forehead.

Thus you would expect a trend toward cashless transactions involving unique personal identifiers either on you, or in you.

That is exactly where commerce is headed. I read an article on Reuters titled, Just smile: In KFC China store, diners have new way to pay.

Excerpts:

Diners at a KFC store in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou will have a new way to pay for their meal. Just smile.

Customers will be able to use a “Smile to Pay” facial recognition system at the tech-heavy, health-focused concept store, part of a drive by Yum China Holdings Inc to lure a younger generation of consumers.

Joey Wat, Yum China’s president, said the store was aimed at “young, tech savvy consumers who are keen to embrace new tastes and innovations.”

… this is the first commercial application of the technology worldwide.

Diners can pay by scanning their faces at an ordering kiosk and entering a phone number – which is meant to guard against people cheating the system.

Mark-like technology is so common, we don’t even get excited about it anymore as something that was predicted two thousand years ago in the Bible.

We are not looking for any particular sign, or prophecy to be fulfilled. Jesus promised He’d return to rapture His church – which entails the resurrection of the dead in Christ of the Church Age, then the translation from earth to Heaven of all living believers.

It is presented in the Bible as an imminent event.

Are you ready for the rapture? If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up. Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
