The only way to make sense of what is happening around the world today is to know what is going to happen tomorrow. God has seen fit to tell us a great many things about the future. There are hundreds of yet-to-be fulfilled prophecies in the Bible.
We reserve a few minutes Sunday morning to suggest news, or trends, that seem to be predicted by a literal, futurist reading of the Bible.
To avoid sensationalism, we are careful to use recognized, reliable sources for news.
We’re not saying the things we report are the definite fulfillment of prophecy. We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build-up to the future seven year Great Tribulation.
Students of Bible prophecy have long argued that the government of the Great Tribulation will be some sort of global union, eventually controlled by the antichrist.
Global government means that all the nations of the world surrender their sovereignty to a collective group of leaders.
What would it take for that to happen? The leading candidate today is Climate Change, which is more frequently being described as the Climate Crisis.
I came across this quote: “We must plan for the global demographic reshuffling brought on by climate change.” Those are the words of Dr. Paragh Khanna. He is founder & managing partner of FutureMap. He advises many governments and corporations around the world and serves on the boards of numerous financial institutions and technology companies.
Dr. Khanna said, “We’re accelerating into a future shaped less by countries than by connectivity. Mankind has a new maxim – Connectivity is destiny – and the most connected powers, and people, will win.”
Regarding Climate Change, the Dr. believes that, “As climate change tips toward full-blown crisis, economies collapse, governments destabilize, and technology disrupts, we’re entering a new age of mass migrations – one that will scatter both the dispossessed and the well-off. Which areas will people abandon and where will they resettle? As today’s world population, which includes four billion restless youth, votes with their feet, what map of human geography will emerge?”
He talks about “climate population resettlement,” by which I think he wants the map of the world and its nations to be decided by climate issues, not national sovereignty. The growing awareness of climate risk will make the current top-performing geographies less desirable to live in and invest in. Put bluntly, people need to be resettled based on what the planet is doing.
In a previous Update, we talked about the powerful World Economic Forum’s (WEF) excitement at how easily governments were able to impose far-reaching restrictions on the global population on account of COVID19.
They openly reveal that they will use Climate Change to create a New World Order.
Former vice-president Al Gore, now a climate warrior, said, “When every night on the TV news is like a nature hike through the Book of Revelation, that builds demands for meaningful action.”
David Malpass is president of the World Bank Group. He was asked whether he agreed with the scientific consensus that the “manmade burning of fossil fuels is rapidly and dangerously warming the planet.”
He replied, “I don’t even know. I’m not a scientist.”
His remarks prompted an outcry from environmentalists, including Al Gore, who called Malpass a “climate denier.” Twenty-seven House Democrats have joined a growing chorus of voices calling for his resignation. He recanted, acknowledging the “climate crisis.”
Whether or not there is science supporting Climate Change, the world’s leaders promote climate crisis. And they don’t want dissent on it, or any other global policies.
The prime minister of New Zealand said world leaders “cannot ignore” the “threat” posed by unregulated political discourse online. She advocates free speech, so long as it is in agreement with the government.
Climate Change may well be the issue that will lead the nations of the world to surrender their sovereignty to a global government with the goal of saving the planet.
Centuries ago, the Bible predicted the Last Day’s global government. Using climate change, pandemics, and other disasters, real or imagined, the push towards globalism is on. It is exactly what we expected.
We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven year Great Tribulation that is described in the last book of the Bible. We will not, however, be on Earth during that terrible Time of Jacob’s Trouble.
The resurrection and rapture of the church are imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.
Jesus will come, in the clouds, and raise the dead believers of the Church Age.
He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies. We will join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.
Are you ready for the rapture? If not, Get ready; Stay ready; Keep looking up.
Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
