Prophecy Update #424 – There’s Noah Time Like The Present

Each week we present what we call a Prophecy Update.  This is #424 in that series.

Unique among all books ever written, the Bible accurately foretells specific events – in precise detail – sometimes even centuries, before they occur.

Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible.  About 2000, or 80%, have already been fulfilled to the letter, with no errors.

For example, even though written by Moses 3400 years ago, the Book of Deuteronomy accurately predicted the exile of the Jews (4:25-27), the scattering of Jews to places throughout the world (28:64), the desolation of the land of Israel (29:23), the persecution of the exiled Jews (28:65-67), and the restoration of Israel (30:3-5).

Jesus gave a talk on the end times, on the Mount of Olives, and when He did, He referenced Noah.  He said, “as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark… (Matthew 24:37-38).

He specifically mentioned the marriages in the days of Noah.  If you go back to Genesis chapter six,  you see the marriages Jesus was referring to.

Gen 6:1  Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
Gen 6:2  that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
Gen 6:4  There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them.

The “sons of God” were fallen angels who were marrying human women and, somehow, it messed with the DNA to produce genetically modified human beings.

God put an end to it by sending the global flood.

Are we trying to mess with DNA, to produce genetically modified offspring?  You bet we are!

An article posted by a British source, The Independent, was titled, First genetically-modified human embryos ‘could be created in Britain within weeks.’

Excerpts:

Although it will be illegal to allow the embryos to live beyond 14 days, and be implanted into the womb, the researchers accepted that the research could one day lead to the birth of the first genetically modified (GM) babies should the existing ban be lifted for medical reasons.

A license application to edit the genes of “spare” in vitro fertilized (IVF) embryos for research purposes only is to be discussed by the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA), with final approval likely to be given this month.

Scientists at the Francis Crick Institute in London said that if they are given the go-ahead they could begin work straight away, leading to the first transgenic human embryos created in Britain within the coming weeks or months.

[They] already have  a license to carry out research on human in vitro fertilized embryos but they want permission to use about 20 or 30 day-old embryos that are left over from IVF treatments – although it may be necessary to create IVF embryos specifically for the research.

Parents of the embryos have to give “full and informed” consent and by law have to be told about the specific research project that their embryos will be used for.

This is a good time to call your attention to the fact it is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.  On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day.  January 22, 1973, was the day the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion-on-demand in all 50 states.  Churches around the United States annually celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage.

People routinely kill babies; researchers experiment on them; journalists talk about them being “left over,” or about how scientists plan to create embryos only to use them in trials.

Now we want to modify them, keeping only those that meet our every requirement.

That’s why we need a Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, and that’s why we draw your attention to the good work being done, locally, by the Crossroads Pregnancy Center.

Now more than ever they need (1)volunteers, (2)prayer, and (3)financial support.  Pick up a flier.  Get involved on one or all of those three levels.

In the days of Noah, they were producing genetically modified humans.  Jesus predicted the end times would be like those days.

You’d therefore expect that there would be genetic modification taking place, and that is exactly the trend we see.

While we see the signs, we are not waiting for anything to happen before the Lord comes to resurrect the dead in Christ, and to rapture living believers.  That event is imminent, pretribulational, and premillennial.

Are you ready for the rapture?  If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up.  Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
