Prophecy Update #429 – The Great Scope Of China

The Bible accurately foretells specific events – in precise detail – sometimes even centuries before they occur.

Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible.  About 2000, or 80%, have already been fulfilled to the letter, with no errors.

What about UFO’s?  Are they something we should discuss in light of end times prophecy, or is it all crack-pot sensationalism?

Let’s ask the Chinese.  A February 16th article was titled, China on Schedule With World’s Largest Radio Telescope to Search for Extraterrestrial Life.

Excerpts:

“Having a more sensitive telescope, we can receive weaker and more distant radio messages,” Wu Xiangping, director-general of the Chinese Astronomical Society, said of the 500-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) nestled in a bowl-shaped valley between hills in the southwestern province of Guizhou.

“It will help us to search for intelligent life outside of the galaxy and explore the origins of the universe,” he added underscoring China’s race to be the first nation to discover the existence of an advanced alien civilization.

Meanwhile, according to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), sighting are up 35% from last year.  The United States leads the world in the number of reported sightings, and California leads the United States.

An Australian organization offers the following perspectives:

All our historical and prehistoric records contain references to recognizable UFO’s, indicating that the phenomenon has always been with us.

About 6% of the population has had one or more sightings of UFO’s.  This translates into about 60,000 people per million. As a consequence of this statistic, virtually everyone knows one or more persons who have had sightings, as well as being aware of the phenomenon though the media and the literature.

About half of those who have had sightings have reported two or more such sightings.  In many cases these sightings were made by the witnesses while in the company of different other reliable witnesses on each such occasion.  The high incidence of multiple sightings indicates that sightings are not a matter of chance, and that some kind of selection or planning is associated with them.

Of the sightings reported, about 75% remain probable UFO’s after exhaustive investigation.

Interesting, but what does this have to do with Bible prophecy?

Maybe nothing, but there is one theory.  The Australian’s noted that “some kind of selection is associated” with UFO’s.  When the rapture of the church occurs, millions of people will suddenly vanish.

It may be that their removal will be blamed, or credited to, UFO’s and extra-terrestrials, who “selected” Christians.

Our answer to the UFO phenomena, in general, is simple.  There is nothing about it – including abductions – that can’t be explained by the activity of demons.  Thus we would call the UFO phenomenon a doctrine of demons – and that is a characteristic of the end times:

1Ti 4:1  Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

Doctrines of demons are exactly what you’d expect from reading the Bible.

You know what else you can expect?  The church will not be on the earth for any portion of the Tribulation.  Jesus promised He’d come for us before that terrible time.  He will come – not ET’s – and resurrect the dead believers, than snatch-away those who are alive.  We call this the Rapture of the church.  It is imminent – meaning it could happen any moment.

Are you ready for the rapture?  If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up.  Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
