Prophecy Update #447 – AmeriScan

The Bible accurately foretells specific events – in precise detail – sometimes even centuries before they occur.

Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible.  About 2000, or 80%, have already been fulfilled to the letter, with no errors.

Because we know that the remaining 500 or so prophecies will definitely be fulfilled, we look for news, and trends, that you’d expect to be taking place.

You might call them the signs of the times.

Many of our updates make you aware of advances in the technology of imbedded or wearable personal identifiers.  We see these advances as significant because of the prophecies in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

In the first century, the apostle John saw that, in the last days, people would be able to be identified, and to conduct all their business, by means of something on them, or in them.  At one point he referred to this personal identifier being utilized by the antichrist.  It’s the infamous Mark of the Beast.

The very fact that there are multiple technologies that sound eerily like they could accomplish what John saw is remarkable, to say the least.  We’ve discussed palm prints, vein scans, electronic tattooing, retinal scanning, and microchipping – just to mention a few.

I came across an article about the growth of biometric scanning.  Here are some excerpts:

Without you necessarily realizing it, your unique attributes – your “biometrics” – are being used to verify your identity.

Every time you unlock your smartphone, use a fingerprint scanner at the airport, or upload a photo with facial recognition to Facebook, your physical attributes are scanned and scrutinized against a template.

The use of biometrics has exploded in recent years, with companies ranging from 24-Hour Fitness to NYU Langone Medical Center using this convenient technology to identify their customers.

By 2019, biometrics are expected to be a 25-billion-dollar industry with more than 500 million biometric scanners in use around the world, according to Marc Goodman, an advisor to Interpol and the FBI.  Newest to the scene, Wells Fargo this fall will begin offering a smartphone app with biometric authentication for corporate customers – making all their financial information just an eye scan away.

Another article was titled, MasterCard Customers Will Soon Be Able to Use a Selfie Password.

Excerpts:

MasterCard customers will soon be able to replace their passwords with a “selfie” and fingerprint to verify their identity and make payments online.

The payment processing company confirmed the decision to introduce biometric checks this week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Ann Cairns, head of international markets for MasterCard, told CNBC that biometric checks had been trialed in the U.S. and the Netherlands, and that the company will be launching them in the U.K. soon.

“I think the whole biometric space is a great way of protecting yourself when you are doing payments,” she said.  “There are a whole range of biometrics that say ‘I’m me, I’m making a payment’ and it just makes the whole thing more secure.”

Biometric solutions could include facial recognition, fingerprint scanners or checking the customer’s heartbeat using wearable technology such as smartwatches.

Advances in personal identification like biometrics are exactly what you’d expect from a literal reading of Bible prophecy.
While we look for signs of the times, there is one event that has no sign.  It is presented as being imminent – meaning, it could occur at any moment.

Jesus will come and resurrect the dead believers, than snatch-away those who are alive.  We call this the Rapture of the church.

Are you ready for the rapture?  If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up.  Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
