Each week we present what we call a Prophecy Update. This is #452 in that series.
The Bible accurately foretells specific events – in precise detail – sometimes even centuries before they occur.
Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible. About 2000, or 80%, have already been fulfilled to the letter, with no errors.
Because we know that the remaining 500 or so prophecies will definitely be fulfilled, we look for news, and trends, that you’d expect to be taking place.
You might call them the signs of the times.
Many of our updates deal with the relatively recent explosion of technology that sounds ominously like it could pave the way for the dreaded Mark of the Beast.
Even nonbelievers are familiar with the mark. It is something in you or on you, a personal identifier, by which you will transact all your business.
In the first century, while exiled on an island for his faith in Jesus, the apostle John spoke of a future world leader. He is the antichrist, also known as the “beast.”
In the middle of the future seven-year Tribulation, he will demand everyone swear allegiance to him. If a person does not swear allegiance to him, they will not be able to buy or sell anything.
The technology they must utilize to do so will be cancelled, and they will be cut-off from society.
It will be a powerful incentive to follow the beast as your leader.
If this is true, then you’d expect folks to be warming up to the idea of having embedded technology.

At news.com Australia, they posted an article titled, Australians embracing super-human microchip technology.

It may sound like sci-fi, but hundreds of Australians are turning themselves into super-humans who can unlock doors, turn on lights and log into computers with a wave of the hand.
Shanti Korporaal, from Sydney, is at the centre of the phenomenon after having two implants inserted under her skin.
Now she can get into work and her car without carrying a card or keys, and says her ultimate goal is to completely do away with her wallet and cards.
“You could set up your life so you never have to worry about any password or PINs” she told news.com.au.
“It’s the same technology as Paypass, so I’m hoping you’ll be able to pay for things with it.
“… you get a unique identification number that could be programmed into the chip. Any door with a swipe card … it could open your computer, [your] photocopier. Loyalty cards for shops are just another thing for your wallet.”
The microchips, which are the size of a grain of rice, can act like a business card and transfer contact details to smartphones, and hold complex medical data.
It costs between $80 and $140 depending on the sophistication of the technology, and (while you can do it at home) they work with doctors who charge $150 to insert the implant.

Reading the Bible literally, you’d expect embedded technology to be on the rise. It is. These chips are just one of literally dozens of things available today that could be the platform from which the Mark of the Beast develops.
I’m not worried, because the Church will not be on the earth for any part of the Tribulation.
Jesus will come and resurrect the dead believers, than snatch-away those who are alive. We call this the Rapture of the church.
It is presented as an imminent, any-moment event.
Are you ready for the rapture? If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up. Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
