Prophecy Update #513 – Chimera

If media is any indicator, people are concerned about what is going to happen in the future. Everything seems to be about a mostly bad future. Instead of being utopian, it’s portrayed as dystopian.

The word ‘apocalypse’ frequently pops up in titles and in dialog.

Since we have the answers, it’s therefore a good time to see the signs of the times and be able to explain what is really going on, and what is going to occur, based on Bible prophecy.

We taught a series on the Days of Noah on Wednesday nights. I’d strongly encourage you to go to calvaryhanford.com, find those studies, and either watch, listen, or read them. They are less than 25 minutes long; only a few pages of reading, if you choose the PDF.

The Days Of Noah

They are pertinent to end times prophecy because Jesus pointed us back to the Days of Noah. He said,

Mat 24:37  But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Mat 24:38  For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
Mat 24:39  and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
We discovered in those studies that Jesus was describing a particular type of “marrying” that was occurring before the Flood.

According to Genesis, fallen angels were marrying and mating with human women. Their offspring were the Nephilim – a race of giants whose DNA had been manipulated.

It is this manipulation of human DNA to alter what it means to be human that Jesus seemed to be pointing to as something we could expect to characterize the end times.

Guess what? Manipulating human DNA is all the rage right now.
It’s as it was in the Days of Noah, except instead of fallen angels, it’s being done by fallen humans.

National Geographic posted a weird article titled, Sheep-Human Hybrids Made in Lab.

Excerpts:

Building on a controversial breakthrough made in 2017, scientists announced on Saturday that they have created the second successful human-animal hybrids: sheep embryos that are are 0.01% human by cell count.

The embryos, which were not allowed to develop past 28 days of age, move researchers a small step closer to perhaps growing human organs for medical transplant.

… researchers are working to artificially expand the organ supply. Some are trying to 3-D print organs in the lab. Others are working on artificial, mechanical organs.

And some are making chimeras – hybrids of two different species – in the hopes of growing human organs in pigs or sheep.

To make chimeras, researchers isolate one animal’s stem cells, which can develop into any cell type in the body. They then inject some stem cells from one species into the embryo of another…

The U.S. National Institutes of Health currently forbid public funding of human-animal hybrids, though it signaled in 2016 that it might lift the moratorium. (So far, private donors have funded early research).

Splice is a 2009 Canadian-French science fiction horror film starring Academy Award winner Adrien Brody.

The story concerns experiments in genetic engineering being done by a young scientific couple, who attempt to introduce human DNA into their work of splicing animal genes. They create a chimera. Let’s just say it doesn’t end well.

Is it just sy-fy? One researcher asked and answered the question. He wrote, “Contrary to the plot of every good horror movie, the biologists’ chimera cookbook contains only recipes of medical interest. But if there were no limits, could they in fact turn chimeras of myth into reality? That depends on the creature.”

In a recent book titled Evolving Ourselves, Juan Enriquez and Steve Gullans describe a world where evolution is no longer driven by natural processes. Instead, it is driven by human choices, through what they call unnatural selection and non-random mutation.
They say, “Human enhancement is bringing us closer to such a world – it could allow us to take control of our evolution and truly shape the future of our species.”

Jesus said it would be like the Days of Noah. In those days, what it meant to be human was altered at a DNA level. That’s what we’re seeing again today.

We are not looking for any particular sign, or prophecy to be fulfilled. Jesus promised He’d return to rapture His church – which entails the resurrection of the dead in Christ of the Church Age, then the translation from earth to Heaven of all living believers.
It is presented in the Bible as an imminent event.

Are you ready for the rapture? If not, get ready, stay ready, and keep looking up. Ready or not, Jesus is coming!
