We reserve a few minutes each Sunday to discuss current world trends that you’d expect from reading Bible prophecy.
We are futurists. We interpret the unfulfilled prophetic portions of the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation, and all other unfulfilled Bible prophecies, as future events occurring in a literal, physical, apocalyptic, and global context.
Biometrics, Artificial Intelligence, cashless commerce, the manipulation of human DNA, global government, the exponential growth of human knowledge, and the rebirth of Israel as a nation are all areas we see corroborating the End Times prophecies of the Bible.
There is a lot of news about Vaccine Passports. One columnist wrote the following op-ed piece:
Vaccine passports are the latest rage around the world requiring proof of vaccination to enter restaurants, bars, or travel on public transportation.
New York has created the “Excelsior Pass,” European countries are developing a Digital Green Certificate, and social control disguised as disease control is infecting the public domain.
A system of passports promotes a type of social control reminiscent of what we see in dictatorships. Can you imagine living in a world where you could be prevented from shopping, taking a bus, vacationing, visiting your family without a state sanctioned passport?
The vaccine passport platform system currently in Israel and planned for a growing number of countries is a social credit system which is implemented currently in China that dominates the everyday lives of the Chinese people. China’s social credit system allows the government to find “dissidents” who disagree with China’s policies and have them detained within minutes.
The system can judge citizens’ behavior and trustworthiness. Forget to return your library books on time? Owe a parking ticket? Express your point of view too loudly? You could lose certain rights, such as booking a flight or train ticket.
Once vaccine passports are rolled out, adding functionalities to the backend would be simple. Their implementation could lead to profound public manipulation and control. Once governments and corporations get this kind of power, where does it end?
George Orwell aptly wrote in his dystopian novel 1984, “We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.”

Obviously we will have to wait to see how far the governments of the world push Vaccine Passports.
I point to it as a trend you’d expect from reading the Bible because a system similar to this will exist in the future Great Tribulation.
Utilizing a mandatory “mark” in or on the right hand or forehead, the governments of the world will control the behaviors of all people in just the kind of ways the article I quoted states.
The technology exists to achieve this almost overnight. The COVID19 pandemic is accelerating our acceptance of this type of system.
We believe the resurrection and rapture of the church is imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it. It will happen before the Great Tribulation.
Jesus will return in the clouds.
He will raise the dead in Christ.
He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies.
We will all join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.
