The Bible is 25%-35% prophecy. It has been 100% accurate. Approximately 300 – 500 prophecies remain to be fulfilled. We are futurists, meaning we believe that they will be fulfilled in the future in a physical, literal, global, apocalyptic context.
It makes sense that mankind would be moving in the direction that the prophecies predict. For example, the focus of many yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies is the nation of Israel. They require Israel be a nation, in her ancient land.
That happened! It is both a fulfillment of prophecy & a modern miracle.
Biometrics, Artificial Intelligence, cashless commerce, the manipulation of human DNA, global government, the exponential growth of human knowledge, and the rebirth of national Israel are End Times phenomena the Bible predicts. All of these are increasingly trending in the news.
I always give two disclaimers:
- We are careful to use recognized, reliable sources for news. Sensationalism about the future is detrimental.
- We’re not saying the things we report are the fulfillment of prophecy. We’re saying that they are the things you’d expect to be happening in the build-up to the future Great Tribulation.
There is so much we could talk about that I thought I’d hit on two or three things that are trending.
We talk a lot about the predictions in the Bible that there will be a global economy accessed by some sort of ‘mark’ on or in you. This week it was reported that the CEO of Worldcoin, aims to scan the eyeballs of every human on Earth. He says a global World ID is coming “whether you like it or not… probably in the next couple of years.”
To do this, they invented a physical device called The Orb that can scan your eyeball. The goal is for the Orb to scan every eyeball of every human who walks the Earth. They’re calling it, World ID.
They beta tested with 2mil people. A person has been verified every 8 seconds since the launch. They are going to be orbing soon in 35 cities in 20 countries.
They say it will be necessary in the future to distinguish between humans and bots. Bladerunner?
Artificial Intelligence, AI, is of interest to us for at least these two reasons:
- First, in the Revelation we read about a made-made image of the antichrist receiving a kind of sentient life.
- Second, in the OT Book of Daniel, we are told that in the end times human knowledge will increase exponentially. With AI on the scene, the increase in knowledge is off the charts.
Changing gears… We read in the Revelation, that one of the valuable last days commodities will be “the bodies and souls of men” (18:13). Human trafficking is rampant today. The film, The Sound of Freedom, is calling attention to it. You’d think everyone would get on board. The bigger story is that many are pushing back against the film – even though it is a true story. NPR reported that “the Christian thriller is fueling controversy over conspiracy theories and its depiction of human trafficking.”
In this same category of devaluing human life, Canada is continuing to make it easier for a person to take their own life, and for the government to determine who ought to die for the good of the many. A recent post was titled, Canada to expand its assisted suicide program to include the mentally ill.
Excerpts:
Canada will allow people with mental illness to choose medically assisted death beginning next year, according to a report… The Medical Assistance in Dying program, known by its acronym MAID, for adults with terminal illnesses has been legal since 2016.
It was amended in 2021 to take into account people with incurable conditions, and beginning in March 2024 it will include people whose sole underlying condition is mental illness.
In 2016 it was just for people who were terminal, five years later it included “incurable” patients. And now it’s going to include ANYONE who is mentally ill.
According to figures from 2021, the most recent year available, 10,064 people died through medically assisted death, about 3% of Canadians that year.
One third of Canadians think prescribing death for homeless people is totally fine. At least one funeral home offers rooms for assisted suicide on-site.
We are witnessing the stage-setting for the seven year Time of Jacob’s Trouble, the Great Tribulation, that is described in the last book of the Bible.
We will not be on Earth during that terrible Time of Jacob’s Trouble.
The resurrection and rapture of the church is imminent. It could happen any moment; nothing needs to happen before it.
Jesus will come, in the clouds, and raise the dead believers of the Church Age. He will transform the bodies of living believers to glorified, resurrection bodies.
We will join Him in Heaven while the earth endures one final seven-year campaign of severe evangelism.
